Special tours are a completely new idea of RVT tour operators. The itineraries are designed as soon as our clients let us know about their date of arrival, number of day available for the tour. We will then update all the future events and put it into their tour. The itinerary is normally divided into two parts; Discover the real life by staying with local people(which are quite adventurous) and classic program(which is easy and follow the traditional way).

Following this program, tourist will have to:

• Be ready to cope with the culture shocks
• Be adventurous enough to get use to bellowed standard life of the local
• Work and live exactly like a local
• Follow the flexible itinerary that your tour guide design (if there is any changes)

However, you will learn at the end of the tour:

• The real life of the local at the area where you visit
• Customs, belief, costumes, foods, health care.. of the locals
• How to make a simple Vietnamese meal from simple things

Besides, you will also have a lot of funs, surprises and chances to enjoy the quiet beauties of the countryside that NOT ANY TOUR OPERATOR have in their program

A sample itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi arrival

You will be pick up by your guide at the airport and then transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. Have a 90 minutes cyclo tour around the old quarter to get to know about Hanoi city life. welcomed dinner in local restaurant and get some instructions from your guide for the next activities.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour

This is a normal city tour program: your tour guide will pick you up at around 8h30 for the tour which includes: Hochiminh mausoleum, one pillar pagoda, temple of literature. Lunch in local restaurant.

After lunch, your tour guide will take you to Tran Quoc pagoda, Hoa Lo(known as Hanoi Hilton), Ngoc Son temple. Free for the rest of the day for walking and shopping around

Day 3: Hanoi – Red river delta village

From now on, your tour guide will be your close friend for all activities in a local way. You will take a taxi to the Bus station to get a local bus and get away from Hanoi(about 100km away). Your destination is a village in the middle of the red river delta. As soon as you arrive, your tour guide will make an introduction between you and the homestay owner(who you will stay with the next three days). Be free to get to know about the family and the homestay

Day 4: Tour around the village

After an early breakfast, your tour guide will take you on the tour a round the village: the main temple, communal house,school, medical center, community center... are in your program. Back to homestay for your simple lunch which is prepared be the family. After lunch, you keep heading the rice paddies and local afternoon market. You will do some small shopping, take it home and prepare your dinner. Overnight in your homestay

Day 5: Working on the rice paddy as a local

It will be a tough day for you. It depends on which time of the year that you are here so that  you will do your farmers’ job( ploughing and raking, planting or harvesting rice...). your tour guide will teach you some techniques and then you work together. Lunch with local family. In the afternoon, you will learn how to fish(by fish net) in ponds or lakes. Back home and prepare dinner yourself. Overnight in homestay

Day 6: Working on the rice paddy

It will be another day working as a farmer. Overnight at your homestay

Day 7: Hanoi

Back to Hanoi by local bus. Free for the rest of the day. Overnight in the hotel in Hanoi

Day 8: Hanoi – Halong

At 8h00 a.m, our driver and guide will come and pick you up for a 3,5 hours drive to Halong Bay(world natural heritage). Stop on the way for taking photos and drink. Check in the boat by around 12h00 and then have lunch. The boat will cruise around the most beautiful part of Halong bay and then drop you at the Cave of Surprise. Dinner and overnight on boat.

Day 9: Halong – Hanoi - Sapa

Have an early breakfast and enjoy the sun rise on the bay. The boat keep cruising in the spectacular islets and islands. Lunch is served before you be back to the boat wharf. Your tour guide will be waiting and take the drive back to Hanoi. Take the overnight train to Sapa. Overnight in A/C soft sleeper cabin on the train

Day 10: Sapa

You will be in Laocai very early. Our tour guide will be waiting and then take you to a hotel for breakfast. Free in the morning to hang around the beautiful small town. In the afternoon, your guide will take you down to Catcat village which is 3 km away. Back to hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight in Sapa

DAY 11: SAPA – HOMESTAY

Your highlight of Sapa will be in this two days trip. You will have to walk 12 km down to Muonghoa, the most beautiful valley in sapa. The trekking is quite difficult but the scenary is amazing. You will have picnic lunch in a very basic restaurant. Keep walking in the afternoon to the homestay where you will stay overnight. Overnight in the village

DAY 12: HOMESTAY – SAPA – HANOI

You will be walking for a few hours in the morning. Have lunch in local homestay and then get picked up back to Sapa. You will then have shower in the hotel and be free for dinner in town before our driver take you down to Laocai to take the train back to Hanoi. Overnight at an AC 4 berth soft sleeper

Day 13: Hanoi

Be free on your leisure time. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 14: Hanoi departure

Repack your luggage and get transfer to the airport for your flight home
